A Journey to a cityscape where shadowy figures move behind locked windows and doors. They are there of their own volition. They hide from the improbable, the insignificant, the unlikely. They fear.
Outside these buildings where the self-made inmates live, is a grassy space with a swing set. And there swings a young girl in a yellow dress. She laughs and sings, and her joy rises and echoes through the urban canyon, calling the songbirds to join her.
But within the walls, panic rises to a crescendo as those who hide away are overcome with fear that this girl will be swallowed by the dark wispy things, the ghosts they themselves hide away from.
The girl and the birds sing another song, and nothing comes to harm them, because this innocence and joy creates its own shield against the fears that are unwarranted.
This is my journey,
