An Artistic Spiritual Process
The Made Prayer is a process of creating something tangible and even physical, to make prayer more real and approachable, with an answer to the prayer more grounded and achievable.
I am sharing this with anyone who may feel disconnected from the Spiritual and to those who are looking for a meaning and purpose behind their passion for creation.
I desire to share this process with others as it can become a seed of change, new perspective, and healing, all of which I have witnessed in the most intimate of ways within my own work.
This idea is not a new one for many people, artists and non-artists alike. And there is no greater joy for me, personally, than to witness their discovery of this process and how they now have a way to define what it is that they have been doing all along.
When I was a boy, I was attracted to the idea of personifying the natural world, giving things a name, and having conversations and relationships with trees, animals, and the earth. Then I thought I needed to “grow up.” In the last twelve years, however, I have undergone an internal perspective change to recognize that this same boyhood spirituality was exactly where I needed to be in this adult world.
