To walk with you
Through this labyrinth in the trees
Over stones of red
And leaves of fluorescent green
With you upon my finger
And me upon yours
Our breathing in synch
With the subtle breeze.
And so together we pray
A prayer from both our hearts
To our ancestors
And our descendants
And to all things that live
Within
And without.
To ask for a blessing
That our walk will be love
And to give a blessing
Honoring the importance of all things.
To walk with you
Can only be described
As a manifestation
Of what my heart has been asking for
Since long before I was born.
