Become a Labyrinth Caretaker

by | Jun 8, 2017 | Labyrinth

Thank you so much for your interest in being a Labyrinth Caretaker.

The following are guidelines to becoming a caretaker are applicable for any meaningful labyrinth. This work can be a very fullfilling and meaningful experience as a solo practice, as a partners experience, or as a group gathering.

  1. Caretaking typically will occur each quarter, although whenever you visit you are encouraged to care for the labyrinth.
  2. Caretaking involves both physical cleaning/weeding/trimming as well energetic cleansing. If done as a group, a sacred walking ceremony could also be included. There could be teachings around the uses, intentions and histories of the Labyrinth and how it can assist us in our everyday lives and as a tool for healing.
  3.  You are encouraged to take photos and document and journal about the work. Then to share with others who may view the labyrinth as “family”.
  4. As a caretaker, please spread the word of the wonders of working with the Labyrinth, however you are able. Encourage friends to visit. Post and share links online.
  5. There are many labyrinths in the Central Texas area that you can explore. Please visit Austin Labyrinth Project Facebook and through this website for more information.

With blessings and love and my utmost appreciation!
