Imagine that you are constantly drawing a map of where you wish to be going. YOU are drawing it and no one else. You include lovely things like pleasant sunsets and waterfalls and maybe the perfect home. You include friends and family and lovers and all those you wish to be with. You include the communities that help you feel that you belong.
On this map, you may also include some thrilling challenges that will help push you and teach you and that will allow you to truly feel accomplishment.
Because this is your map, and no one else’s, you will find that there may be multiple paths to follow, which allows for variety and for travels that are inspired and not dictated. You are drawing this map with intention now, which may be very different from your past when you were drawing this map without knowing you were drawing this map.
Now, because of intention, you can choose to not include those things that may be full of fear. You can leave off the monsters and the holes in the road. You can leave off all of the walls and fences that others say you cannot pass. You can draw your map knowing whichever way you travel, it will be the “good” way… the way that you choose to go.
This map of yours will never be finished and you may alter its contents even on a by-the-second basis. Some changes may come on a large scale because of a smaller accomplishment or self-awareness. Keep changing it. And keep walking forward. Don’t think too long about which path is right… they are all the right path because you are the mapmaker.
This is my journey
