Thank You … You’re Welcome

When someone offers thanks, they are placing a small truth in your hands

There is something sacred in letting genuine gratitude be received as it is given. When someone offers thanks, they are placing a small truth in your hands, and to turn it aside is to leave it unheld. “No, I thank YOU” deflects and even dismisses the moment. “You’re welcome” allows the gift to settle, to become real. It is not a claim of worth, but an acknowledgment: yes, I see what has passed between us, and I honor it. In that quiet acceptance, the exchange completes itself, and something simple is made whole. Knowing how to receive with grace is, then, a gift returned.

This is my journey,
