She looked ahead at the beckoning glow
From the other side of the hill
The path had been built to make it easier to follow
Well lit, paved and smooth.
She looked at the gardens she had long cultivated
That she was being asked to leave behind
And she wondered, who would water her herbs
And harvest them when it was time?
Then she just knew.
There were many more gardens on the other side.
