Am I standing on a hill and do I credit the blessings of others for where I stand?
Or do I stand in a hole where I blame the condemnation and judgement of others?
Or maybe, like many, I am up and down and up and down,
all depending on the smallest comment or look made by another?
Do I stand here because this is how I think or want others to see me?
Or because this is where I truly see myself?
Human nature seems to dictate my self-definition based on how others see me.
However, I believe there is something more that can define who I am,
A greater Spirit that can allow me to see myself as a light in the darkness,
No matter where I might be standing.
